Published purpose

Through this 39-months project, Kitikmeot Friendship Society (KFS) will increase its ability to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) against Indigenous women, girls, or 2SLGBTQIS+ people, with a focus on the 2SLGBTQIS+ population with the stakeholders and community members from the communities of Kitikmeot. This will be achieved by creating an advisory group, organize communities’ consultations and developing a strategic plan. By the end of the project, KFS will have strengthened their capacity to prevent and address GBV against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQIS+ people, as applicable with a focus on 2SLGBTQIS+ population issues from the communities of Kitikmeot.
