Published purpose
Through this 29-month project, Dechinta Initiatives will increase its ability to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) against Indigenous women, girls, or 2SLGBTQQIA+ people in the Northwest Territories. This will be achieved by developing a decision-making model with a GBA+ lens and reflective of Indigenous laws and governance models, reforming HR policies and practices, enhancing staff training and skill development, and implementing an organizational evaluation focused on community impact. By the end of the project, Dechinta Initiatives will have strengthened their capacity to prevent and address GBV against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people.
