Published purpose

This 54-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the Native Child and Family Services of Toronto to improve its service to Indigenous women and families in Toronto. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the assessment of the current staff training program and procedures followed by a large-scale redesign of a culturally appropriate and effective training program. The 2023 supplemental funding will be used to revitalize the advocacy and branding initiatives inside the organization to better attract Indigenous candidates and ultimately better address the needs of the Indigenous community they serve, as well as develop and implement a human resources strategy and tools. These activities will continue to grow organizational capacity by incorporating Indigenous women’s perspectives in NCFST’s policies and programs.
