This 48-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through activities such as strategic and succession planning; partnership development; collaboration and networking; development of an advocacy strategy; implementation of result-based management; organizational financial health plan. The Canadian Council of Muslim Women will also undertake key activities towards its long-term sustainability. These will include developing capacity for fundraising; board governance; responsive human resources planning; and the strategic use of social media. The first supplemental funding will be used to mitigate the impact that COVID-19 limitations have had on the project by allowing the organization to implement a fundraising plan and monitor achievement of goals set in the plan. The second supplemental funding will be used for project activities such as developing a membership strategy and implementation plan to support chapters for long-term sustainability, this includes a Quebec-specific strategy and plan. Additionally, Board recruitment and development, and the development of a CCMW revenue generation policy, including partnerships with the private sector for long-term sustainability.
