Published purpose

This 60-month project will address the Yellowknife Women’s Society’s capacity needs to allow them to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. The organization will be enhanced through human resources development; improved staff training, recruitment and retention; succession planning; and review of the compensation plan. In addition, they will evaluate past advocacy efforts and create an advocacy plan to improve the impact of future advocacy efforts to support women and their families in Yellowknife. Supplemental funds will be used for a results-based evaluation and key networking activities to improve the Managed Alcohol Program, including the creation of an updated training model for staff delivering the program. Yellowknife Women’s Society will develop an “all-in one” handbook for staff guidance and orientation and build organizational capacity to increase revenue generation and financial sustainability
