Published purpose

This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the Planned Parenthood Ottawa-Carleton (PPO) to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through cultivating and growing PPO's strategic partnerships by developing and implementing a community engagement strategy; refining and strengthening PPO's brand by developing and implementing a communications strategy; enhancing the financial sustainability of PPO by developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. The activities include: 1) Community Engagement Strategy; 2) Communications Strategy; 3) Fundraising Strategy. The first supplemental supported the organization in ensuring existing project activities are adapted to pandemic/post-pandemic realities. Supplemental funding provided in spring 2023 will support the organization as they review their communications materials through an anti-racist/BIPOC lens, adjust them to align with best practices, and engage with this community to ensure these clients feel seen, supported, and informed.
