Perth County Transition Home for Women

Published purpose

This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Perth County Transition Home for Women to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of a strategic fundraising and communication strategies, the establishment of Board governance policies, and fostering community partnerships in the Perth County area. Additional funding provided in January 2021 was used to hire a team of consultants to amalgamate two aligned women’s organizations in order to enhance services and the community capacity to serve women and children experiencing violence. Supplemental funding provided in spring 2023 will support the organization’s capacity to assess, write, and secure funding through the development of key tools, templates, and processes, and then the training of their management team in their use.
