Sudbury Women's Centre

Published purpose

This 59-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Sudbury Women's Centre to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of a sustainable fundraising strategy which includes fostering new partnerships with donors and foundations, conducting a feasibility study to inform the development of a business plan, as well as updating policies to ensure continuity, including the creation of a permanent fundraising committee and operational level Human Resources policies. Supplemental funds awarded in March 2023 will support the organization as they build on existing wise-practices in transitional housing and wrap around service models through research and consultation, to better understand community needs and adjust their policies accordingly, and then promote the results through their partners and community.
