Published purpose

This 58-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the YWCA of Greater Toronto (YWCA Toronto) to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the (1) optimization of digital assets and create annual, compelling digital campaigns, (2) strategically integrating the Philanthropy and Advocacy & Communications’ departments’ resources and knowledge, (3) amplifying program and service participants’ voices through story collection and an annual Speakers’ Bureau and (4) conducting an equity audit. Supplemental funding will be used to bolster digital assets and a compelling digital campaign as well as update the organizational website. The 2023 supplemental funding will be used to develop and design an organization-wide Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy, build the capacity of YWCA Toronto’s management team through training and program-specific EDI plans, and establish an EDI measurement and evaluation framework.
