Published purpose
This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Huron Women's Shelter Second Stage Housing and Counseling Services to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of Human Resources policies and procedures, the adaptation of programs to incorporate evidence-based best practices and results-based management, as well as the development of sustainable fundraising, communication, and marketing strategies. The 2023 supplementary funds will be used to hire an Organizational Processes and Systems Project Manager to ensure the information generated from the policies, procedures and capacity building initiatives previously established are embedded into the organization's internal infrastructure, communication and decision making processes. This will be achieved by developing robust and responsive organizational systems and processes that will drive performance-based, data-driven decision making that are aligned with client experience/needs and responsive to community needs.
