Working Women Community Centre

Published purpose

This 58-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the Working Women Community Centre to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of a strategic plan, operational plan, women’s equality framework, training plan and evaluation tool, a partnership and donor development strategy, and organizational policies, procedures and best practices. Activities will include research, development, monitoring, testing and adoption of recommendations and tools, which will be integrated and implemented through all levels of the organization from the Board of Directors to staff, to enhance community outreach and impact across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The 2023 supplementary funds will be used to develop a five year succession plan for the overall organization including a succession plan framework and handbook for the Executive Director’s position.
