Sistering - A Woman's Place

Published purpose

This 57-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Sistering – A Woman’s Place, to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through partnership development for collaborative advocacy work, as well as the application of gender-based analysis+ to the policies and service models in the homelessness, housing, and violence against women sectors. This project will build the case for the need for a definition of women’s homelessness and provide a service model template that can be implemented across the housing continuum. Supplemental funding will be used to renegotiate Peer Researcher and Lived Expert Advisor Terms of Employment, update Advisory Committee Terms of Reference, conduct internal and external advocacy assessments, create an advocacy strategy, and initiate a knowledge mobilization report.
