Published purpose

This 60-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of a fundraising strategy, conducting a community needs assessment and establishing a strategic plan and an updated vision statement, developing a results-based management framework, and strengthening internal Human Resources policies and procedures. The 2020 supplemental funding will be used to review the organization’s fundraising strategy considering emergencies and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to develop new social programs in line with clients’ needs. The 2023 supplemental funding will be used to review, revise and update strategic planning process and plan, the long-term fundraising plan, the Policy and Procedure Manual based on the lessons learnt and changes made during the course of the COVID-19 Pandemic as well as develop a final evaluation framework to assess RIWC's updated initiatives.
