Qikiqtani Inuit Association

Published purpose

This 10-month project will promote a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. To achieve this, Qikiqtani Inuit Association plans to implement an educational, awareness and engagement governance-based campaign that will focus on women's participation. To achieve this, the group will research and develop informative materials and learning tools, conduct participatory workshops in communities to support Inuit women's political and community engagement, and promote key events and opportunities for Qikiqtani Inuit women to get involved. At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to the elimination of systemic barriers by promoting inclusive policies and practices.
