Published purpose

Through this 50-month project, Under One Sky – Monoqonuwicik-Neoteejg Mosigsig will increase their capacity to provide programs and services to Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people in the province of New Brunswick. This will be achieved by developing a Board Governance Structure enhancing Board capacity by providing required training and supports, recruiting new board members to fill identified skills gaps, and reviewing and improving internal operation and human resources policies. By the end of the project, Under One Sky - Monoqonuwicik-Neoteejg Mosigsig will have strengthened their internal capacity to prevent and address GBV against indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGTBQQIA+ people. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Under One Sky – Monoqonuwicik Neoteetjg Mosigisg Inc. will continue to strengthen the organization through leadership development and succession planning, inclusive policy development, and initiatives to build long term fiscal sustainability. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
