Published purpose

Through this 25-month project, the Saskatchewan Queer Mental Health Collective (SQMH) will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address strengthening their organizational structure by incorporating as a non-profit organization, connecting with Saskatchewan-based queer and trans mental health providers, and will increase awareness to 2SLGBTQ+ people across Saskatchewan about the importance of affordable, qualified and affirming mental health care in their province. The project will include developing a constitution and bylaws that reflect the collective's mission and improving the outreach and communication with queer and trans individuals across Saskatchewan, particularly in rural areas. This project will engage with 2SLGBTQ+ mental health practitioners across Saskatchewan to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and enhance their collective capacity to support their members in addressing the mental health needs of individuals within the community.
