Calgary Outlink Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity

Published purpose

Through this 41-month project, Calgary Outlink Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address service gaps while reducing organizational silos and the duplication of efforts between service providers and 2SLGBTQI+ communities. The project will include conducting a needs assessment, the development of an Interagency Network of 2SLGBTQI+-serving organizations and the creation of an online resource database to strengthen connections, develop a coordinated approach for collaboration and to bolster resource-sharing between 2SLGBTQI+ service providers in Calgary and surrounding areas. To share their knowledge, Calgary Outlink Centre will disseminate lessons-learned through community outreach sessions. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Calgary Outlink Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity will develop new tools and strategies to support revenue diversification and sustainability including engaging in financial management training, developing strategic frameworks, and exploring new opportunities and approaches to a variety of funding sources including corporate partnership and social enterprise. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
