Queer Yukon Society

Published purpose

Through this 41-month project, Queer Yukon Society will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address gaps in organizational infrastructure to support safety, accessibility, and long-term organizational sustainability. The project will include developing and expanding strategic partnerships that increase efficiency and effectiveness, creating and implementing financial development, knowledge mobilization and partnership plans, reviewing and improving internal processes, and building regular opportunities for learning and growth. With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Queer Yukon Society will build capacity to communicate and collaborate with government bodies, as well as complement existing capacity targeted towards generating earned income. Through this, Queer Yukon Society will further advance Gender Equality, advance knowledge mobilization and multiplication, and build regular opportunities for learning and growth.
