MAX Ottawa Community Health (MAX Ottawa)

Published purpose

Through this 42-month project, MAX Ottawa Community Health will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the gaps and barriers to accessing culturally appropriate and relevant services and resources for diverse members of the 2SGBTQI+ community in the National Capital Region, especially those experiencing intersecting systemic inequities. The project will include an evaluation of community needs as part of a redevelopment of MAX’s strategic plan. It will also include the implementation of a sustainability plan to ensure long-term stability of the programs and services that 2SGBTQI+ community rely on. With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, MAX Ottawa Community Health will develop a financial sustainability roadmap to ensure expanded and uninterrupted program and service delivery. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
