Ubuntu - Black Trans, Non-Binary and 2Spirit Collective

Published purpose

Through this 21-month project, Ubuntu - Black Trans, Non-Binary and 2Spirit Collective will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the need for services and accessible spaces for Black Trans, Non-Binary, and Afro-Indigenous 2-Spirit people including those with disabilities, newcomers, and older adults. The project will include attaining not-for-profit corporation status; developing a training toolkit for working with Black Trans, Non-Binary, and Afro-Indigenous 2Spirit people; piloting the training toolkit with staff and volunteers; and preparing a 3-year Strategic Plan whose priorities are defined through community engagement.
