QT Literary Magazine

Published purpose

Through this 37-month project, Queer Toronto Literary Magazine will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will address the needs to increase organizational governance, financial health, partnership development, collaboration, and networking. The project activities will include reviewing practices, bylaws, and policies, supporting board improvement, developing, and implementing a three-year organizational strategic plan and restructuring the website to make it stronger, better, and more accessible. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, QT Literary Magazine will 1) Implement the financial sustainability plan and pursuing diversified funding opportunities; 2) Update the website payment system; 3) Continue updating and operationalizing the stronger financial accountability processes, including training volunteers on how to track expenses, assemble the Annual Financial Statement, and file taxes. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
