Published purpose

Through this 38-month project, The Nova Scotia Youth Project Society will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will enact viable sustainability measures relating to administrative reform, financial sustainability, and leadership empowerment to maintain organizational health and to enhance its scope. The project will also conduct a scan of available resources relating to sexual/gender justice through a queered GBV lens and develop resources related to housing security, consent/bodily autonomy, and youth peer support, which will be disseminated to key stakeholders. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, The Nova Scotia Youth Project Society will engage in action-oriented and innovative advocacy strategies and coalition building, advance its financial strategic management to further sustainability, and reform structural frameworks pertaining to membership/volunteer engagement. Through this, they will further advance Gender Equality.
