Fondation Massimadi

Published purpose

Through this 39-month project, the Massimadi Foundation will strengthen the capacity and networks of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. The project will raise the profile of the Afro-descendant 2SLGBTQI+ community through inclusivity, accessibility, and representation within Quebec’s cultural landscapes. The project will include improving and strengthening the organization’s financial management, registering the organization as a charity, and developing a communications plan, as well as redesigning the website. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, La Fondation Massimadi will develop a philanthropic funding plan, a 5-year strategic plan, and a resource‑sharing strategy, and will provide a specialized anti‑hate capacity‑building tool. Through this, they will further advance gender equality.
