Published purpose

Through this 40-month project, AGIR will strengthen the capacity of organizations and 2SLGBTQI+ community networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. The project will address the need to keep pace with the organization’s significant growth in order to meet increasing needs. The project will focus on ensuring long-term financial viability, building solid foundations for their internal structures, and consolidating the leadership of LGBTQ+ migrants and refugees within the organization. Thanks to the additional funding and extension granted in early 2026, AGIR: LGBTQ+ Migrant and Refugee Support will implement a new phase of organizational capacity building focused on the institutionalization of governance systems, the development of a diversified revenue infrastructure, and the establishment of leadership continuity mechanisms within the organization. Through this they will further advance gender equality.
