Published purpose

Through this 34-month project, Women’s Safe Haven/Resource Service Inc. will improve its organizational capacity to advance gender equality through the development of a 5-year strategic plan. The project will include a review and update of organizational policies and procedures; engagement with stakeholders to identify how the organization can better serve the community; and board governance and human resources training to build skills and outline roles and responsibilities to contribute more effectively to the organization’s success and sustainability. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Women’s Safe Haven/Resource Service Inc. will Incorporate GBA+ into Organizational Learning and Policies; Increase Cultural Sensitivity and Harm Reduction Knowledge and Skills developed through an Indigenous Lens; and Develop a Fundraising Strategy and calendar. Through this they will build their internal capacity to better serve Indigenous clients and further advance Gender Equality.
