Refugee Women's Network

Published purpose

Through this 25-month project, Refugee Women's Network will build it's capacity to with two objectives to increase funding to ensure the sustainability of the projects after the two year plan and to advance gender equality. The project will address the barriers to equality refugee women face and understand what impacts these barrier to equality have on their way of life. The project will include researching the needs of refugee women, the impact of cultural diversity it plays against barriers to equality, and implementing programs and counselling to help them overcome the challenges they face. The project will also address how education and knowledge creates a more pluralistic society, especially in their workplace and how it improves their quality of life. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Refugee Women’s Network will enhance its capacity to seek and apply for funding opportunities which will support the organization in strengthening current program offerings as well as develop new programs. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
