Hey Black Girl!

Published purpose

Through this 31-month project, Hey Black Girl! will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address funding insecurity and limited long-term planning capabilities. The project will include developing a multi-year strategic plan, a fundraising plan, and a communications plan; developing internal skills and knowledge on women’s rights and operating women’s organizations, and implementing a collaboration and relationship-building strategy. With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Hey Black Girl! 1) will Develop Human Resources systems and Policy Development; Develop and Restructure Board Governance; 2) Develop Financial Systems & Structures; and 3) Conduct needs assessments of the targeted population and evaluate existing services to inform organizational strengthening and service improvement. Through this, they will further advance Gender Equality.
