Published purpose

Through this 31-month project, Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC) will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s needs due to its recent exponential growth. The project will include capacity building in the areas of board governance, strategic planning and risk oversight, as well as human resources and financial sustainability. Specific activities will include strategic plan development, governance and operational policies and process review, board and leadership development, legal oversight on contracts and agreements, diversifying revenue and income sources, and strengthening communications and stakeholder relations. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, they will establish a modern digital governance and information management infrastructure, bring remote team members together for organizational capacity building and strategic planning, and develop new program communications and stakeholder engagement assets in alignment with the new brand. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
