South Okanagan Women in Need Society

Published purpose

Through this 32-month project, South Okanagan Women in Need Society will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address capacity gaps to expand and improve best practices in service delivery and governance. The project will include implementing a tactical plan, updating organization’s policies and procedures, training staff in new systems and processes, and creating and developing an asset management system. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, South Okanagan Women in Need Society will plan and implement leadership and organizational learning and training. Through this work, the organization will strengthen its internal leadership, accountability, and operational capacity. Through this, they will further advance Gender Equality.
