Gender Equity in Media Society Vancouver

Published purpose

Through this 30-month project, Gender Equity in Media Society Vancouver will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s need for training, updated policies and practices, and focused organizational direction. The project will include a review and update to human resource policies, development of financial sustainability strategies, board and staff training, upgrades to operational systems, and strategic planning. With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Gender Equity in Media Society Vancouver (GEMS) will implement their strategic plan which will include development of succession, fundraising, and revenue diversification plans. GEMS will also update management services and systems within the organization, including donor management, job descriptions and improvements to website. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
