Published purpose

Through this 32-month project, Armagh will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address their changing needs as a growing organization – both in terms of strategy and delivery. The project will begin by researching barriers to equality in the gender-based violence section in the Region of Peel and developing a corresponding strategic plan for the organization. In order to deliver on the plan, the organization will review and update their financial management and human resource practices, and examine their programs and services through a GBA+ lens. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Armagh will strengthen its governance, leadership, and organizational capacity by 1) developing a comprehensive board governance training toolkit; 2) enhancing leadership practices through trainings and coaching to promote consistency and retention; 3) establishing new HR frameworks focused on succession planning, employee wellness, and compliance systems; and 4) upgrading client-management digital systems to improve access and security of sensitive information. Through this, they will further advance Gender Equality.
