Published purpose

Through this 32-month project, Association for the Alberta Network of Immigrant Women (ANIW) will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the empowerment of immigrant women to address gender equality issues within the objectives and activities of the projects that ANIW delivers. The project will include convening the board of directors to enhance expertise on technology and fund development, collecting data to create and use an organizational database to identify gaps, improving board governance, specifically by developing and implementing a strategic plan for sustainability, and conducting workshops and staff training on GBA+ and Key Performance Indicators. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026 The Alberta Network of Immigrant Women will create policies for access and protection of data and social media postings, develop a policy of how their organisation can utilise AI to enhance their organisation and hold a leadership and planning session with their board to develop a board evaluation process. Through this they will advance Gender Equality.
