Published purpose

Through this 26-month project, the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women (GAATW) Canada will strengthen its capacity to advance gender equality in Canadian anti-trafficking responses. It will develop and implement policies and robust processes in the areas of human resources and governance, elaborate strategic planning, create and implement a communications strategy, and initiate advocacy planning in collaboration with key stakeholders. As a result, GAATW Canada will be able to provide collaborative leadership to build and coordinate a national coalition promoting gender equality in anti-trafficking policy and practice through advocacy and education efforts. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women Canada will build on their current organizational capacity-building activities in strategic planning, communications, and national partnerships and networks. Through this, they will further advance gender equality.
