Published purpose
Through this 32-month project, Maternal Minds will build its capacity to advance gender equality and address gaps for Muslim mothers residing in the Halton Region who are facing barriers in accessing culturally relevant mental health services. The project will include developing systematic organizational procedures and structured processes to ensure that community initiatives are well planned, efficiently executed, and supported by sustainable management practices. The project will also adopt a GBA+ approach in establishing structural procedures, policies, assigning responsibilities and ensuring accountability within the management team to increase organization's capacity to serve Muslim mothers in the area. With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Maternal Minds will 1) Develop internal grant development, donor management, and impact reporting systems; 2) Launch a strategic branding and social media campaign to enhance organizational visibility; 3) Develop structured staff professional training and retention strategy frameworks to strengthen organizational resilience. Through this, they will further advance Gender Equality.
