Published purpose
Through this 32-month capacity building project, Central Alberta Immigrant Women's Association aims to advance gender equality by strengthening their capacity at the technological level. The project will include hiring project staff and an Enterprise Systems consultant to analyze the existing IT system; gathering data from system users and key stakeholders to inform system design; designing and developing an enhanced system; and conducting testing, implementation, and training. At the end of these activities, Central Alberta Immigrant Women's Association will have improved their IT systems, knowledge, and efficiencies to support their commitment to the attainment of social, economic and cultural inclusion of immigrant women and their families in Central Alberta. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Central Alberta Immigrant Women’s Association (CAIWA) will hire a System Analyst to develop a Business Intelligence System, and a comprehensive dashboard and strategic reporting system that will complement the ongoing project’s existing capacity building efforts. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
