Published purpose

Through this 29-month project, Manitoba Women for Women of South Sudan Inc. will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the specific needs of low-income, racialized women, with particular emphasis on Black women and newcomers, particularly as they progress toward gender equality, improving access to services tailored to their unique needs, and removing barriers to their integration into Canadian society, the workforce, and social participation. The project will include integration of GBA+ Tools and principles in strategic planning, while working to enhance communication, financial management and resource mobilization. This project will also include improving community mobilization through talent attraction and enhancing relationships and partnerships with both new and existing stakeholders. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Manitoba Women for Women of Sudan Inc. will strengthen inclusive leadership and organizational engagement as well as organizational culture and inclusion initiatives through facilitated discussions to ensure diversity and inclusion in all operations. Through these targeted interventions, the organization will further advance gender equality within the community it serves.
