Published purpose

Through this 33-month project, Chinook Sexual Assault Centre will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s long-term funding and external communications needs. The project will include hiring staff to review the organization’s existing resources; creating and implementing both sustainable fund and external communications development plans; and stakeholder and partner outreach within Southern Alberta communities to gain insights into the capacity building process. At the end of these activities, Chinook Sexual Assault Centre will increase their ability to obtain long-term funding and enhance their external communication needs. The organization will internally evaluate the success of project and share their findings with other stakeholders and partners through their final report and networking. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre will develop a social policy strategy and tools package, and create a practical sustainability plan. Through this, they will further advance gender equality.
