Published purpose

Through this 33-month project Yellowknife Women’s Society (YKWS) will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the organization’s need to understand the impact of their programs. The project will review its existing programs, develop measures of success, and revise and disseminate program descriptions with staff and management. The project will build internal capacity to deliver effective services and programming to community. With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Yellowknife Women’s Society will develop and implement an Indigenous Cultural Safety and Evaluation Framework, institutionalize program standards and performance monitoring systems, and strengthen governance, executive leadership, and workforce sustainability structures. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
