Published purpose

Through this 29-month project, the Community-Based Research Centre Society will advance equal access for 2S/LGBTQIA+ people to sexual, reproductive, and gender-affirming (SRGA) health care by addressing provider skills gaps, healthcare discrimination, and complicated access pathways. To achieve this objective, CBRC will employ a community incubator approach, wherein diverse 2S/LGBTQIA+ community members and the providers who serve them will collaborate within national and regional incubators to identify SRGA care needs, and design, deliver, and monitor community-led SRGA health responses. Ultimately, incubator members will directly contribute to the development and delivery of provider-facing 2S/LGBTQIA+ SRGA competency-building workshops, and community-facing 2S/LGBTQIA+ SRGA system navigation and self-advocacy resources. In addition, CBRC will develop and deliver a webinar and a best practice guide to share learnings, project resources, and best practices to support further adaptation and scaling.
