Published purpose

Through this 30-month project, Techsploration will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address its ability to deliver and support long-term sustainable programming in Nova Scotia and expansion areas related to women employed in science, engineering, trades, and technology (SETT), leading to greater organizational capacity. The project will include an environmental scan, the development of a 5-year strategic plan and a comprehensive internal governance audit to ensure sound operations and enable long-term sustainability and growth. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Techsploration will advance governance modernization through filing bylaw changes and approving and implementing core policy manuals as part of the organization’s new strategic plan developed during the first phase of the project. They will also modernize digital organizational systems by building automated databases and implementing digital filing, security, project, and grant management tools. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
