Published purpose

Through this 29-month project, Hum-WE will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need to: 1) fill gaps in leadership skills and qualities within the organization to increase long-term viability; 2) create a solid plan to increase funding for their transitional shelter facility for domestic abuse victims ensuring privacy and safety; 3) build connections and collaborations with other organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to pool resources, share knowledge, and coordinate services. As such, the project will include a capacity building needs assessment; skill development workshops; the development of a funding strategy; collaboration with organizations identified as having shared values and goals, particularly those focusing on women's empowerment and domestic violence, and the development and use of a robust project monitoring and evaluation framework. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Hum-WE will A) Strengthen Organization Governance; B) Build Case Management Capacity; C) Strengthen Organizational Skill and Training; D) Deepen Partnerships; E) Implement Performance Measurement Framework; and F) Enhance Financial Sustainability. Through these activities, Hum-WE will further advance its internal capacity to service Gender Equality.
