Published purpose
Through this 30-month project, the Young Women’s Christian Association of St. Catharines will build its capacity to advance gender equality. It will address the need for more developed organizational fundraising and advocacy capacities. The project will include developing new fundraising and advocacy strategies in consultation with community stakeholders, operationalizing the use of an ethical prospect database, and training staff on the implementation of the new advocacy and fundraising strategies. With the supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Young Women's Christian Association of St. Catharines will implement its Ethical Storytelling Framework, strengthen its communications and advocacy capacity, build internal engagement capacity through planning, piloting tools, and refining its centennial engagement approach, and enhance spokesperson and media readiness through training, readiness processes, and improved internal communications tools. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.
