Published purpose
Through this 26-month project, Queer Yukon Society will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities in rural Yukon. This will be achieved by building a resilient network of rural, grassroots leaders who will combat hate and stigma and improve access to resources and services for remote and rural 2SLGBTQI+ individuals within their communities via in-person programming, and across the Yukon via online platforms. Information and resources developed and compiled through this project will be made available across the Yukon for a lasting, wide-reaching impact on 2SLGBTQI+ safety and support.
