Out On Screen

Published purpose

Through this 27-month project, Out on Screen will build its capacity to address the lack of positive and nuanced 2SLGBTQIA+ media representation and education. The project will include refinement and implementation of the new strategic plan and fundraising plan, and the development of the Board of Directors through recruitment and retention. These activities will strengthen the organization’s financial and operating sustainability and will increase Out on Screen’s capacity to effectively provide programming and adapt to the community’s evolving needs. With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Vancouver Out On Screen Film & Video Society will decolonize the leadership structure and strengthen and rebalance Out On Screen’s revenue streams. Through these activities, they will further advance Gender Equality.
