Published purpose

The objective of the project is to assist Highland Custom Farming with farming operations such as cultivating, planting crops, spraying, fertilizer application, harvesting, manure spreading etc. for other farmers so they do not need to invest in a complete line of expensive farm equipment for their operation. They also run their own farming operation on owned and rented land.  They operate a grain elevator and run a lystegro operation for disposing of human waste which has been converted to fertilizer.  The Intern will be trained on the safe and proper operation of large scale farming equipment including tractors, cultivators, bio drill/disk, land roller, baler, planters and harvesting equipment. Standard equipment maintenance and pre-trip greasing will be completed.  Employee will be responsible for driving to the correct farm, identifying the correct field and completing field work.  Paperwork will need to be completed for each field and ongoing communication with Supervisor,
