Published purpose

The project aims to enhance the role of national media in raising public awareness and shaping the national agenda on sexual and reproductive rights, and in ending gender-based violence against women in remote rural areas. It aims to facilitate collaboration among social and health workers, community radio, community leaders and youth to combat social stigmas related to sexual and reproductive rights and gender-based violence. The project aims also increase the participation of women’s rights organisations and women leaders in the development of public policies on sexual and reproductive rights, influencing policy makers to implement gender-responsive actions. It aims to directly support 140 journalists, 30 media organizations and outlets, and 30 civil society and women’s organizations, reaching an estimated 400,000-600,000 women, adolescents, and gender-diverse people, as well as 9,000,000 Tunisians through media coverage.
