Published purpose

The objective of the project is to provide the intern with experience developing capacity for in vitro production of embryos (IVP) in western Canada and providing this service to our producers. The intern will assist in a literature review of academic publications pertaining to reproductive physiology, early embryo development and embryo freezing-Involvement in collection of eggs and laboratory production of bovine embryos (including media preparation, physical handling, in vitro fertilization, embryo culture within laboratory, and cryopreservation of embryos). The intern will also learn about the understanding of the embryo transfer industry in Canada-Networking with producers, veterinarians, researchers, and industry members.
