Published purpose
This project aims to support the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in building the capacity of targeted peacekeeping training institutions in Africa and South-East Asia to deliver national and pre-deployment training. The targeted institutions are in Indonesia and Senegal, with the potential to expand into the Indo-Pacific and Latin America. Project activities include: (1) conducting initial needs assessments and partner scoping; and (2) implementing activities based on the results of the needs assessments. This includes activities such as management and instructor training, strategic planning, institutional sustainability, and training curriculum development or updating.
