Published purpose
The objective of this project is for an intern to acquire experience in a dairy operation and in the business of producing exceptional milk. The intern will be assist in cleaning cow beds and moving cattle into the milking area. They will assist in the milking parlor, prep and post dipping the cows for milking as well as attaching milking machines. Calf feeding and calf care is a major part of this intern's project. This includes recording accurate identification of each calving and assisting in administering proper medication as needed. They will participate in herd health examinations and veterinary procedures that arise.
