Published purpose

This project aims to enhance the internationalization capacities of higher education institutions in the Philippines. It consists of a 3-phase program featuring online learning tailored to the Commission on Higher Education and Association of Southeast Asian Nations context, experiential learning in Canada, and in-country training. The goal is to foster sustainable partnerships with Canadian institutions. In Phase 1, the project aims to support up to 40 participants, providing them with comprehensive training and resources to strengthen their internationalization efforts. In Phase 2, a select group of 15 internationalization champions from the Phase 1 cohort attend the CBIE Annual Conference in Canada. In Phase 3, these champions and other selected participants, join in-country training to build their capacity. These champions help ensure the project's long-term impact by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and assuming leadership roles within their institutions and the broader regional network. The Canadian Bureau for International Education implements this project in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines.
